Exciting news for pizza lovers! Est Ovest Caffe and Aperitivo Bar, located in Adelaide, has officially secured a place on the coveted 50 Top Pizza guide for 2025.

Recognised for its dedication to authentic Italian pizza, Est Ovest has earned a spot among the top 50 pizzerias across the Asia-Pacific region, coming in at number 45. This marks an incredible milestone for the South Australian establishment, which is the first from the state to make the list.

The 50 Top Pizza guide, based in Italy, is renowned for ranking the world’s best pizzerias. The inclusion highlights the restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity, offering a genuine Italian pizza experience.

In response to the news, Est Ovest took to social media to share its excitement.

“This means we’re not just a top pizza spot in SA or Australia, but among the best across two continents. How big is that?” the team posted.

“The best part? You don’t have to travel far to taste a pizza that meets global standards.”

Co-owner Fabio Di Verio shared his enthusiasm, reflecting on the hard work that led to this achievement.

“This award is the result of years of dedication and incredible teamwork. It didn’t come easy, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the people behind the scenes,” Fabio told Glam Adelaide.

Tokyo-based The Pizza Bar on 38th was confirmed to be the number one pizzeria for 50 Top Pizza Asia – Pacific 2025. It is the smallest pizzeria in the world, with its eight seats, led by Daniele Cason, executive chef of the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo.

Guides to the best pizzerias in the world will continue to be announced throughout the year. In April the best of Latin America will be announced; in June the top pizzerias of Europe will be announced; in July the best in the United States will be announced; in September the 100 best pizzerias in the world will be announced.

Established in 2017, 50 Top Pizzas is often referred to as the “Michelin guide” for pizza-by-pizza lovers and continues to influence the Italian culinary scene worldwide.
