Sydney-based pastry chef Adriano Zumbo has teamed up with Arnottโs Tim Tam to create a limited edition range to celebrate the biscuit brandโs 50th birthday.
The range, which launched in major supermarkets in March, includes three decadent flavours: Raspberry White Choc, Salted Caramel and Choc Brownie.
Flavour varieties are a proven growth driver for the chocolate biscuit category and has been successful for Tim Tam in the past. The limited edition Adriano Zumbo creations are expected to attract light buyers and drive incremental sales for the category.
Mr Zumbo said it had been an honour to personally develop his own range of the iconic Australian biscuits.
โI grew up on the bikkie and itโs a joy to be able to put my own twist on it. Iโve played on traditional dessert flavours such as raspberry in addition to daring consumers to try different ingredient combinations like salted caramel,โ he said.
Arnottโs marketing manager Susanna Polycarpou said the brand always strived to provide innovative flavour variety to consumers.
โWorking with pรขtissier extraordinaire Adriano Zumbo, we have produced fun, unique offerings that match our consumersโ evolving tastes for indulgent and sophisticated flavours, ensuring Tim Tam remains Australiaโs favourite chocolate biscuit,โ she said.
Aussies have been enjoying Tim Tam biscuits for more than 50 years and consume more than 45 million packs each year.
Mr Zumboโs three-part range is also sold as a treat pack, selling for just a couple of dollars.
