The Baking Association of Australia (BAA) conducts the Australia’s Best Pie and Australia’s Best Pastie competitions each year and this year, the competitions will be held at The Baking Industry Trade Show. Both competitions offer valuable feedback and assistance to contestants, ultimately assuring customers search that they are buying quality endorsed pies and pasties.

The Baking Industry Trade Show will be held on the Gold Coast on June 20 and 21. Official entry forms (which you can download from the BAA’s website) are due in by June 18 (afterwards you’ll be subject to a late fee).

Entries need to be delivered to the trade show between June 19 and 21 with the search presentation of the winners scheduled for Thursday June 21 at the trade show.

Best Pie:

Plain Mince Beef, Chunky Plain Beef, Flavoured Beef, Vegetarian, Seafood, Poultry, Gourmet, Gluten Free, Plain Mince Beef (Apprentice).

Best Pastie:

Traditional, Gourmet, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Traditional (Apprentice).
