The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival 2025 will hit a celebratory high note when the Baker’s Dozen hits Federation Square.
Returning for the third year, Baker’s Dozen will see some of Victoria’s most popular bakeries join forces for the two-day event that celebrates all things cakes and baking.
Expected at the 2025 event are bakeries like Baker Bleu, The Flour Melbourne, Kudo, Lulu and Me, Lumos, Madeleine de Proust, Mietta by Rosemary, Raya, Tarts Anon and To Be Frank. Travelling from further afield are popular bakeries like The Invy Baker, who have teamed up with Pippa and Michael James’ Urbanstead, as well as A.P. Bakery from Sydney who are collaborating with Brunswick-based Iris.
Four different bakers will show off their hot cross bun variations at the Hot Cross Bun Bar, presented by Western Star. Meanwhile, the Vote #1 Scone, presented by Bakers Delight, will bring three never-before-seen scone flavours to the party. The winning scone on the day will be added to the pastry cabinets in selected Bakers Delight stores.
World famous baker Richard Hart will also be in Melbourne prior to event, holding a pop-up in the Melbourne Quarter, from March 24 to 28.
Richard will be bringing the taste of popular Copenhagen bakery Hart Bageri to Australia for the first time, and will have Danish morning buns, cheesecakes, spandauer, Richard’s own city loaf, and cardamom buns.
Baker’s Dozen will be held on March 29 and 30, from 10am until 3pm.
