Iconic patisserie, Sucre Patisserie, in South Australia will close its doors on May 25. The Magill Road location in St Morris will be closing after five years of operation in the space which was announced via social media by the owner of Sucre, Keva.
Its not all horrible news however, as Keva also announced the business will re-open in 2025 at a new location. The decision was made as Keva prepares to welcome a new addition to the family. Via social media she said, “I will be taking some time off to prepare for the arrival of our baby in July and expect to be back in business mid-2025, operating out of a different location in Rostrevor.”
“I’d love to see all your faces before I leave. As always thank you for your continued support,” she went on to say on the post.
Sucre Patisserie is best known for their vibrant pastries that encompass tarts, slices, custom cakes and other colourful creations. The patisserie and cooking school has offered a hands-on approach to teaching pastry making which was first launched as part of the business in 2020.
Until the store officially closes Keva will continue to take online orders and encourages people to come and visit her before the doors close until next year. Although she is preparing to welcome a baby, she is already hard at work beginning to renovate the new space, an Instagram story revealed earlier today.
The ‘open days’ that will continue until their closure will be announced week to week via the Sucre Patisserie social media pages.
