Lune’s famed croissants now available in cafes
For years, people have been begging the brother-sister duo behind Melbourne’s Lune Croissanterie, Kate and Cameron Reid, to supply wholesale, which they haven’t done since their early days (2012) in their first operation in Elwood.
Since opening their space-age store in Fitzroy in 2015, their croissants have been so popular people often queue outside the store before it opens to make sure they don’t miss out.
Now that the croissanterie firmly has its roots in the ground with a strong base of skilled pastry chefs, they’re supplying a small batch of croissants, twice-baked almond croissants and lemon-curd cruffins to Melbourne cafes Cumulus, Higher Ground, The Kettle Black and Top Paddock.
Lune’s famed philosophy is centred on quality and consistency, so a small wholesale arm to begin was a natural decision, with the potential to grow slowly.
