The team behind Brisbaneβs hugely popular French restaurant Montrachet has opened King Street Bakery in Bowen Hills to the delight of Brisbane locals.
βItβs important for the [bakery] to have [its] own brand and identity away from Montrachet,β Kellam told Broadsheet of the decision to name the new venue King Street Bakery. βThe team has worked hard enough in the past 12 months to start [making a name for themselves].β
The new bakery has been fitted out with a 100sqm temperature-controlled kitchen and pumps out a mouth-watering array of baked goods, including fresh bread, tarts, quiches, croissants, Danishes and Γ©clairs.
Thereβs also a breakfast and lunch menu developed by chef Jamie Pearce, boasting standard faves such as bacon and eggs as well as apple and caramel with brioche and speculaas.
