This much-anticipated annual event showcases the Hunter Valley regionβs diverse food and wine culture, with a month-long series of culinary activities throughout June.
The perfect antidote to cure the winter blues, this celebration will give food professionals and consumers the chance to wine and dine with leading Hunter Valley winemakers and chefs and to take part in an array of interactive masterclasses.
Tower Estate executive chef George Francisco said the Tower Lodge will be a major drawcard for professionals in the baking industry.
“The Tower Lodge will be hosting and incredible βFireside High Teaβ where all your edible baking dreams will come true,” he said.
“The longstanding tradition is synonymous with the enjoyment of the finer things in life, and has become a favoured way to celebrate special occasions in a refined environment with great company.
“Warm up by Tower Lodgeβs grand open fire, enjoying a wide selection of fine loose-leaf teas or espresso coffee and indulging in a selection of daily baked sweets and savoury treats. Sparkling Australian wine and French champagne.”
As part of this yearβs events, Hunter Chefs & Co will hold its legendary βFood Fightβ; a luncheon where teams of chefs compete to deliver the best gastronomic delights to hundreds of guests.
The 2013 Hunter Valley Wine and Food Month is organized by The Hunter Valley Wine Industry Association and is proudly supported by the NSW Governmentβs tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
