A Toronto shop owner appealed for help on social media, posting videos of a repeat offender squirrelling away chocolate bars from Luke’s Grocery and Snack Bar Furry thief has a taste for the sweet stuff.

A squirrel entered the store and stole the sweet treats when shop owners weren’t looking nearly every day in the month of November – in preparation for hibernation.

The opportunist took a different type of candy bar each time, but was nuts for Crunchies and M&M’s.

Store owner Paul Kim told the Toronto Sun the criminal activity probably increased due to a shortage of acorns.
