The countdown is on until entries close for the 2026 Official Great Aussie Pie Competition.

Set to be held at Fine Food Australia from August 31 until September 2, 2026, this year’s competition will see the total cash and prizes reach $50,000. This year will also see new entrants receive three entries for the price of two.

In previous years the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition has attracted thousands of entries across the categories.

In 2025 it was Paradise Bakehouse who claimed the top prize with their Plain mince pie, while Mt Barker Country Bakehouse won the Gourmet Pie title with their Beef Bourguignon pie. Banana Boogie continued their winning streak by winning the Plain Sausage Roll trophy, and Samuel Gee’s Pies & Pastries took out the Gourmet Sausage Roll title. The Meat Pastie category was won by Miami Bakehouse.

For those looking to claim the title of Official Grand Champion in 2026, the contenders must won in at least two of the five overall categories:

• Overall Plain Meat Pie
• Overall Plain Sausage Roll
• Overall Gourmet Pie
• Overall Gourmet Sausage Roll
• Overall Pastie
