Popular pie brand Beefy’s is continuing its expansion, with the announcement its first store on Queensland’s Gold Coast will soon open its doors.

The store will be located in Coolangatta, and marks the 14th Beefy’s store nationally – and fifth new opening since it was acquired by Retail Food Group in late 2023.

A second Gold Coast store in Oxenford is also set to open its doors in October, with Retail Food Group announcing plans to roll out 50 new stores by 2028.

Beefy’s Brand Manager Taylor Sneddon said the two Gold Coast launches were all about answering the call from passionate customers.

“We’ve had so many requests to bring Beefy’s to the Gold Coast, and we’re excited to share our pies with a whole new community,” Taylor said.

“Whether you’re a long-time fan or tasting Beefy’s for the first time, you can expect a flavour-packed experience that sets an entirely new benchmark for the humble Aussie pie.”

The announcement also coincides with Beefy’s posting $21.2 million in revenue and network sales growth of 16.6 per cent in the last financial year. This equates to more than 1.3 million pies sold and same store sales growth of 5.1 per cent.

Retail Food Group purchased Beefy’s in 2023 for $10 million, with Beefy’s Pies founder and chief executive Mark Hobbs saying he and the team were proud of what the family-owned business had achieved since first opening its doors in 1997.

“Joining the RFG network will help Beefy’s take the next step in its growth journey as we will become part of a team with many decades of retail experience, as well as benefit from being in a group with a larger balance sheet and access to support functions,” he said.

Beefy’s current store network spans multiple locations across South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
