The annual Baking Industry Employer’s Association of Western Australia (BIEAWA) Awards took place towards the end of last month (July 22) in Fremantle, Perth. The event was themed ‘A Night in Greece’ and saw a lot of fun and merriment had by all attendees.

The winners of the night’s special awards were:

• Champion Pastry Exhibit 2023: Destiny Patisserie and Cafe
• ‘Best of the West’ Pie Award 2023: Miami Bakehouse
• Most Successful Exhibitor 2023—Pastry: Miami Bakehouse
• Most Successful Exhibitor 2023—Bread: Bakers Delight, Kingsway
• AJ Noonan Award: Jackson Kiely
