Entries are now open for the Australian Chocolate Champion 2014, the country’s preeminent competition dedicated to chocolate.

Savour Chocolate & Pâtisserie School and F.Mayer Imports are calling on chocolate enthusiasts from around the country to showcase their creativity, artistry and skill as part of the inaugural competition, which will be held at the Cake Bake and Sweets show on March 23 at the Sydney Showgrounds.

The championship will be judged across six categories: assorted box of eight moulded chocolates; assorted box of eight enrobed/hand-dipped chocolates; box of 12 identical commercial chocolates; identical box of 12 innovative chocolates; chocolate bars assorted flavours – four moulded and four enrobed; and chocolate lollipops four varieties.

Participants must enter at least two chocolate categories to be eligible for the title of 2013 Australian Chocolate Champion. All entries must be presented for judging no later than Thursday, March 20, 2014.

The winner will be invited to attend an international guest chef class at Savour Chocolate & Pâtisserie School in Melbourne, valued at $3000, including flights and accommodation.
