Top Chefs & Superstarscollide at Open Day
Fresh off the back of her Masterchef appearances, Shangri-la Hotel Sydney executive pastry chef Anna Polyviou joined a host of award-winning chefs to stage live cooking demonstrations at the William Angliss institute Melbourne open day.
A William Angliss graduate herself, Anna (pictured) returned to the institute to host a patisserie demonstration that showcased original flavours, advanced techniques and a wicked sense of humour.
Celebrating its 75th anniversary, William Angliss Institute promoted its career opportunities in foods, tourism, hospitality and events at the Melbourne city campus, giving potential students a foot in the door with an extensive line-up of information sessions and hands-on activities.
“Going global was a big focus for the institute this year, showing students they can expand their horizons with our study abroad, study tours and overseas working opportunities,” William Angliss Institute associate director VET Dan Mabilia said.
“The trail-a-trade workshops also gave hands-on experience – a great chance to get a practical, professional environment to learn how to create the perfect recipe, or the latest customer service trends.”
