Cult Australian chocolate biscuit brand Tim Tams has made its entry into the UK retail market.
Three flavour options of the biscuits have been rolled out at Waitrose and Ocado: Original, Dar, and Chewy Caramel.
According to British Baker, further listings are anticipated to be announced soon.
Produced by Arnott’s, the biscuits also celebrated 60 years of production earlier this year.
The story goes that in 1958 Arnott’s sent its director of food technology Ian Norris on a world trip to search for new product ideas. He returned with the concept for Tim Tams after being inspired by the classic British Penguin biscuits. The biscuit was launched in 1964.
Tim Tam marketing manager Rebecca Chan cited Circana Australia Scan Data for the year to October 2023, when she said Tim Tams remained Australia’s favourite biscuit.
“We know how loved this delicious biscuit is around the world, and it’s now directly available in the UK for consumers to enjoy as a special treat or when catching up with family and friends,” she said.
