Dessert franchise group The Cheesecake Shop has been witnessing strong sales growth and ongoing business success in Queensland, expanding their store count in the sunshine state to 43 stores.

The Cheesecake Shop national franchise development manager Nick Avgerinos believes this is the start of a growing trend and the Queensland franchising market showing signs of confidence:

“We have opened four new stores across Australia in the last 12 months to May 2012 and all four stores were in Queensland – Wynnum, Springfield and Smithfield, and just this week we have opened in North Lakes,” he says.

Interestingly, many of the new franchisees have had previous franchising experience with major groups such as Donut King and one other is a current franchisee purchasing a second store.

“It has been a promising year for market growth in Queensland and we are planning to open two more new stores in Queensland later this year in Loganholme and Noosaville – both strong growth corridors,” Mr Avgerinos says.
