Famed Australian patissier and Cacao Barry ambassador Adriano Zumbo is set to open his fifth Sydney patisserie following the purchase of a Waverley cake shop, as reported by The Daily Telegraph
Zumbo paid an undisclosed sum for the White’s Cakes storefront, which has been run by retiring master baker Paul Helmrich for the past 30 years.
Advertised as a “comfortable family home with a mixed-use commercial shop front”, the Arden Street bakery was listed for auction in late June and sold on the day.
The site will mark Zumbo’s fifth patisserie, with other successful locations at Pyrmont, Balmain, Manly and Rozelle.
