Queensland to focus on healthy, fresh food options

The Sunshine State’s largest food trade event, Fine Food Queensland, is returning in 2016 with a fresh face and a line-up specifically designed for the local market.

The food industry in Queensland is currently sustaining one of the highest growth rates in Australia. Supporting local Queensland businesses to harness this prosperity is a key objective of Fine Food Queensland, which will focus on better-for-you and fresh food options – a growing demand from health conscious consumers.

Event director Minnie Constan said event organisers conducted a significant amount of research before determining the expo’s leading themes and it’s clear customers are opting to support businesses with ‘clean food’ principles, such as those who use whole foods in their most natural state.

“From direct access to the sunshines state’s best growers at Fresh Produce Lane to the experts at Talking Food Stage who will be translating international trends into Queensland’s local needs, Fine Food Queensland provides access to all facets of the industry under one roof,” Minnie said.

The show will bring together more than 200 exhibitors and 5000 visitors to do business. For more information or to register, visit www.finefoodqueensland.com.au. The event will be held April 10-12, 2016, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
