Bacon Brewfest, brace yourself for a pork coma.

The creators of Sydney’s Bacon festival, Newtown café Cuckoo Callay, are raising the bar this year and launching the inaugural Bacon Brewfest.

The festival will kick-off at Sydney’s Central Park where bespoke bacon dishes from some of Sydney’s favourite chefs and pastry chefs including Black Star Pastry Black Star Pastry, Mr Bao, Textbook Boulangerie, Mak Mak Macarons, Grumpy Donuts and Chocolate Artisan will available to the public. The event will also see pastry chef Anna Polyviou and N2 Extreme Gelato team up for a one-off bacon collaboration.

Craft beer tastings will be on offer from Sydney’s best breweries, including 4 Pines, Feral Brewing Co, and Two Birds, and a festival bar curated by the expert barmen at Ramblin’ Rascal will offer even more craft beers in the aMBUSH gallery project space. Alongside the bar a festival stage will showcase a huge line-up of homegrown music acts.

Festival-goers will also get the opportunity to learn everything about bacon through professionally hosted workshops and talks from industry insiders, while an extreme bacon eating competition will test the biggest pigs in the field.

The Bacon Brewfest will be held at Sydney’s Central Park on Saturday Feb 27, from 12pm until 9pm.
