Brancourts Australia launched this top-secret, category-first packaging innovation at the Sydney Food Show in May 2024, before a crowd of 10,000 eager industry professionals.

The packaging has been designed with the bakers’ needs in mind, as the new pouch is see-through, meaning the user can visualise the Sweetened Condensed Milk converting to caramel and control exactly when the caramel has reached the desired colour and texture.

• The pouch is sealed, and ready to be heated in a rice cooker, steamer, slow cooker, pressure cooker, microwave steamer or in a saucepan of boiling water.

How the new Sweetened Condensed Milk Heatable Pouch works

The user places the sealed pouch directly into a rice cooker, steamer, slow cooker, pressure cooker, microwave steamer or in a saucepan of boiling water.

Because the pouch is see-through, the user can see the desired caramel colour and texture as it develops.

Remove the pouch from heat until cooled slightly.

The user cuts the packaging in any way that suits their needs and starts to use the caramel!
