MARGARET RIVER ROMP

The Margaret River heats up this July for Cabin Fever, a winter celebration of everything the region has to offer.

Last year, Cabin Fever took over the Margaret River with events across the region attracting 6,500 attendees. This year, it’s back again with over 30 events already announced including The Big Easy Bakehouse, a New Orleans-style event at the old bakery in Cowaramup.

At The Big Easy Bakehouse (on July 22), Cowaramup Bakehouse 38 will come alive with a cabaret performance and DJ grooves providing the backing track to cocktails and brews, and Deep South Cajun and creole-flavoured food from the bakehouse’s original 1930s wood-fired oven.

Also, over at the Food Truck Frenzy will be Claudio Biscotti, an Italian baker known for selling out his stall each Saturday at the local farmer’s market, and Nadia Haskell of Cavalcade Desserts, who is known for her gluten-free cakes and desserts.

Cabin Fever takes over the Margaret River region between July 13 and 22.
