Make your mark with ABINSA 2022

Have you made, or would like to make, a major contribution to the Australian Baking Industry? If yes, it’s time to stand up and be counted in the best possible way.

The Australian Society of Baking (ASB) is partnering with EOI and a select group of sponsors and industry supporters to bring you the 2022 Australian Baking Industry National Scholarship Awards (ABINSA).

With up to eight regional and two overseas scholarships to be won, this prestigious competition aims to showcase Australia’s best bakers and pastry cooks to the world.

There are two age categories for entry. If you’re 18 to 24, then the Sydney J Packham Baking Industry Medal is your category. Fill in the entry form to receive your free entry kit containing a broad cross-section of industry questions for you to research, answer and return. If you’re aged 25 and over, the Arthur E Denison Trophy category is for you. The Denison requires entrants to research and submit a paper on one of four industry topics, as nominated in the entry kit.

So, if you’re currently employed in a retail, manufacturing or educational role within the Australian baking industry and you feel you have a contribution to make, now is the time to register for your ABINSA Entry Kit and throw your apron in the ring. After all, your contribution might just be good enough to earn you a fabulous Regional Scholarship trip to Melbourne or a National Scholarship trip to visit IBA in Munich, Germany in 2023!

Entries must be submitted by August 19, 2022, with winners to be announced at the Awards for Excellence presentation taking place in Melbourne in October 2022. For more information, head to the ASB website.
