From cake in a can to house-made gelato, Livo has it all.
Adelaide’s newest dessert destination has it all. Located in Allenby Gardens in the city’s inner-west, Livo is the brainchild of Amy Morouzi who said the business came about after a moment of self honesty.
Speaking with Glam Adelaide Amy said working a nine-to-five corporate job was never her dream, rather just a safe way to work.
“I wanted to build something joyful, creative and meaningful,” she said.
“I’m genuinely excited to greet customers when they walk in, share what’s new, build connections and get to know our customers.”
With that in mind, Amy set about creating a retail space that provides the space for late night sweet snack runs and early morning coffees. The gelato is all made in-house and includes flavours like espresso, Nutella, Oreo, Vanilla and Pistachio – each of which is cut in layers rather than scooped – while the to-go cake range is also made onsite. Enjoy slices of tiramisu, cheesecake, and even banana pudding.
“The creative flavour combinations we’re constantly experimenting with will keep you guessing what we will get you to try next,” she said.
“I genuinely love showcasing new ideas and evolving the menu. It keeps the space exciting and alive.”
Amy, who is also local to the area, said she wanted Livo to feel local to the area.
“… right at the heart of the community here, welcoming and somewhere people would return to again and again,” she said.
