The inaugural Festival of Cake will be hitting Port Melbourne later this month.
Hosted by the Australian Cake Decorating Network, the outdoor festival will be a dedicated cake decorating and baking industry event for experts and novices alike.
Australian Cake Decorating Network and Festival of Cake founder Liz Wright said she was excited to be creating an event for cake decorators, hobbyists and professionals.
“…as well as for those that love to eat cake, to celebrate our industry and support small business,” she said.
“Festival of Cake is providing businesses within our industry the opportunity to showcase their products and services… the event also offers attendees the opportunity to come together, network, celebrate and enjoy our industry – something we’ve all missed during recent years.”
There will be two main stages at the event.
At the Colour Mill Cake Decorating Stage there will be live demonstrations from the industry’s top decorators and bakers including Monica Cavallaro from Moreish Cakes, who also appeared on The Great Australian Bake Off.
The Cake Craft Festival Stage is where attendees can expect to see insider tips on decorating sweet creations, while there is also a vendor hall with attendees, sponsors and vendors from across Australia as well as US, UK, Ireland, Japan and The Philippines; a Creative Classroom – for an immersive learning experience.
The Festival of Cake will held on September 21 and 22, at The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne.
Further information and tickets are available on the Australian Cake Decorating Network website.
