Due to the current economic and health challenges facing New South Wales and Australia, Fine Food has cancelled its Sydney event on 8 – 11 March. The Melbourne event will still run 5-8 September 2022, MCEC as planned.

Organisers said, “As 2021 ended, we looked forward to March. As we are all too aware, things change rapidly in this new world and the current COVID-19 Omicron outbreak is creating new challenges for hospitality businesses.

“Fine Food Australia would be permitted to run under current NSW government regulations, but when we consider current market conditions, we believe it would be challenging to proceed with the same high-quality event you have come to expect from us. We have reached out to consult with key stakeholders and given the current landscape in Melbourne and Sydney, we believe that cancellation of the March event is in the best interests of our customers and visitors.

“As the longest running and largest food event in the southern hemisphere, we know how important Fine Food is to the industry and have considered the challenges you are facing. We always aim to ensure all our stakeholders thrive under the best conditions possible to receive the highest ROI possible and meet your business objectives. Given the change in circumstances, this is now best done by focusing on one large scale event in September 2022 and a return to Sydney in 2023.
