Family Baker Does Toowoomba Proud
Born and Bread Bakery owners Brad and Alison Reeves can’t wait to knead into $10,000 worth of advertising.
The business was the winner of a $10,000 advertising package, drawn from hundreds of Toowoomba businesses that had signed up to say they were “town proud”.
The Reeves opened their first shop 12 years ago and have since expanded the business to four sites in Toowoomba.
True to its name, the popular bakery is manned by fourth-generation bakers. In fact, a black and white photo is proudly on display in the shop, showing Brad’s great grandfather, grandfather and two great uncles working in a bakery in Rockhampton in the 1930s. And, with a young son of his own, the family trade could well continue into the future.
The Reeves should be used to attention, having taken out the King of the Bakers award at last year’s Toowoomba Bread Show.
