NOVA Entertainment has announced its inaugural two-day food event, the Smooth Festival of Chocolate, will be held in October.
In conjunction with Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority and part of The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month, the event will bring a range of household names and boutique chocolatiers to The Rocks.
With event promoters promising Sydney’s prime location will be transformed into a chocolate oasis, visitors will be able to wander from stall to stall tasting, indulging and taking home treats.
Chocolate macaroons in liquid nitrogen, chocolate tarts with Persian fairy floss, jaffa mousse with caramel in a chocolate sphere and smoked pork ribs with sweet chocolate and bourbon barbecue sauce will be just some of the mouth-watering products on offer.
Among the industry’s most celebrated identities to come on board to demonstrate at the Callebaut Test Kitchen include of Baroque and La Renaissance Patisserie executive pastry chef Jean-Michel Raynaud (pictured), Urban Purveyor Group corporate executive chef Damien Brassel, Ananas Brasserie and Bar head pastry chef Yves Scherrer, Kazbar pastry chef Pradeep Devamittage and founder of Food to Nourish Danielle Minnebo.
The Smooth Festival of Chocolate will be held from October 4-5 and is free to attend. Confectionery businesses and dessert proprietors are invited to take part in this event.
