Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro of Carlo’s Bakery has created a mass-produced line of his most popular cake designs, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Teaming up with the family-run company that supplies his New Jersey bakery with sugar and flour, Valastro’s cake line will feature the “Badda Bloom” – a double-layered chocolate and vanilla cake frosted with bright green buttercream and pink and purple flowers, and the “My Party Cake” – a festive design featuring bright yellow frosting, coloured balloons and confetti.

The fourth-generation baker told The Sydney Morning Herald he was initially apprehensive about mass-producing his recipes, which he describes as “delicious, old-fashioned, old-world cakes”, but after months of planning and testing the prototypes he was satisfied with the quality.

Cake Boss follows Valastro and his Carlo’s Bakery staff as they produce custom wedding cakes, specialty cakes and pastries. The series, now in its fifth season, can be seen on pay TV channel Lifestyle Food.
