Global Links Exhibitions & Conferences Organisers, an international exhibition organiser who operates in London, Dubai, Shanghai, Kolkata and Manila, acquired Cake Bake & Sweets Show in December.
Launched by National Media in 2014, the Cake Bake & Sweets Show established itself as the largest gathering of consumers passionate about all things baking, cake decorating and sweets in the Southern Hemisphere. The exhibition combines interactive cooking demonstrations, celebrity chefs, hands-on classes and a large exhibition.
National Media Event Director Brad Langton said, “When almost 20,000 visitors turned up at Sydney Showgrounds for the first Cake Bake & Sweets Show in 2014, we knew this was a community that needed a live and experiential event. Melbourne quickly topped that and Cake Bake & Sweets was born as a national event.”

Global Links Exhibitions have appointed James Laing as Portfolio Director of their Australian ventures. He said the show’s focus would remain on delivering a fan experience that celebrates their passion for baking, cake decorating and all things sweet.
