Brumby’s to the rescue after Dick disappoints

The owner the Brumby’s Bakery brand has stepped in to help a charity left in financial limbo by the voluntary administration woes of electronics retailer Dick Smith.

Epilepsy Action Australia (EAA) has been handed a funding lifeline from Retail Food Group, which also owns Michel’s Patisserie and Donut King brands.

Brumby’s will now donate $50,000, matching a payment Dick Smith promised last year, with EAA’s chief Carol Ireland saying the move will prevent a major stall in fundraising abilities.
