Sydney’s hippest hangout Brewtown Newtown celebrated the launch of its revamped upstairs bakery on Friday, July 31 with free cronuts.
The cafe and coffee roasters’ upstairs bakery has been made over to allow patrons to dine in on Brewtownβs full range of breads, cakes, brownies and cronuts. To celebrate the launch, Brewtown gave away bite-sized cakes, brownies and cronuts all day.
“Weβre so excited for the launch of our bakery upstairs. On the 31st of July upstairs will be baking and open to the public,” Brewtown posted to its Facebook page.
“Thatβs right, fresh bread, cronuts, scrolls, croissants and all your favourite pastries will be available in copious amounts.”
Brewtown is regarded as one of the first bakeries to introduce the cronut – a doughnut-croissant hybrid – to the Sydney pastry scene.
Known for its sustainably and ethically sourced specialty coffee which is roasted in-house in small batches and shipped to cafes around the country, Brewtown’s flagship cafe was established 2013 in Newtown, with outposts now also located in Surry Hills and Cammeray.
As well as in-store dining, they also offer their popular products as takeaways with a user friendly online ordering system, and delivery and pickup both available seven days a week.
