Bake you happy

While cooking and baking makes us cheery for many reasons, there is actually science behind why doing small creative tasks makes people happy.

According to a new study published in The Journal of Positive Psychology, people who frequently take part in small creative tasks report feeling happier in their everyday lives.

The study followed 658 people for two weeks, and found that creative tasks such as cooking and baking made them more enthusiastic about their pursuits the next day.

Not only did it contribute to the participant’s happiness, but those who partook in creative activities felt they were experiencing personal growth, making them more likely to repeat creative tasks, and thus the happiness cycle.
