Adelaide to host Australia’s first Nutella festival

Stop the press. Nutella-Palooza, a festival dedicated to all things Nutella, is set to spring up in Australia after tremendous success overseas.

The chocolate hazelnut spread will be the hero of nearly every dish at Bonython Park: think Nutella doughnuts, Nutella milkshakes and even Nutella beer.

Event organiser, Adelaide food truck Delectaballs owner David Porcaro, said the day will be all about unashamed self-indulgence where Nutella-lovers can share their passion.

“It’s a great excuse to get together with family and friends and enjoy Nutella together, instead of hiding in the corner so no-one sees,” he said,

“It’s a day where people can forget any problems they may have and just enjoy Nutella festival. We’re just helping to spread the happy.”

There will also be cooking demonstrations, bakery stalls, chocolate stalls and food trucks on hand with the event free to enter.

The event is booked for Saturday, April 9 at Bonython Park, Adelaide.
