Popular South Australian bakery Vili’s will once again be distributing their pies throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.
The company had previously exported their wares to the UK pre-covid, however the pandemic forced them to halt.
The announcement Vili’s would be resuming exporting their pies was made last month by Agent General for South Australia in the UK David Ridgway, who said it had been one of his goals since he arrived in London almost five years ago.
“It’s been quite a journey since my first meeting with Alison Milisits (Vili’s Family Bakery former CEO) and Nik Lovric (Vili’s Family Bakery export manager)…,” he said on LinkedIn.
“The pies have been a hit with everybody!”
Current Vili’s Family Bakery CEO Tom Sullivan was in London to celebrate the occassion.
Speaking with InDaily last year Tom said he had plans to reinvigorate the company’s overseas export business.
“We’ll be looking to reinvigorate our export sales along with continuing growth in South Australia,” he said.
“There’s still some good opportunities with our product on South Australia and nationally.”
Vili’s Family Bakery was founded by Vili Milisits in 1968, and at one time was exporting to 24 countries globally .
