Kooky patissiers Adriano Zumbo and Anna Polyviou have been announced as the official ambassadors for the smooth Festival of Chocolate – extending to Melbourne for the first time.

The Rocks will again host the festival on September 12 and 13, while Melbourne’s Crown Riverwalk in Southbank will be transformed into a multi-sensory chocolate experience on October 24 and 25.

Adriano Zumbo will headline both the Sydney and Melbourne events, appearing at the Callebaut Test Kitchen to create and sample his renowned creations.

Joining Adriano will be dessert renegade Anna Polyviou, the Shangri-La Sydney’s executive pastry chef. Premium chocolate suppliers, as well as indulgent and decadent brands, will also showcased, with Black Star Pastry’s Christophe The and La Renaissance and Baroque’s Jean-Michel Raynaud set to make an appearance on stage.

The inaugural smooth Festival of Chocolate, an extension of the smoothfm brand, launched last October in Sydney and attracted more than 71,000 visitors across two days of food, music and attractions.
