The Salon du Chocolat returned to New York City after a five-year hiatus.

The popular global tradeshow was held in the city on March 21-23, 2025, and featured an appearance from world-renowned chocolatier Jacques Torres, also known as Mr Chocolate.

However, like with its Parisian-based counterpart, the stand out event remained the fashion showcase.

Robin Insley, who represents Jacques, said the fashion event was considered the iconic event of the Salon du Chocolat.

“We have it every year, and some of the biggest chocolate makers team up with designers and they create these real-life, edible chocolate creations,” she told ABC7ny.

The NYC trade show was originally set to take place in November 2024, but was rescheduled to 2025 so the organisers could deliver an exceptional and immersive experience.

Salon du Chocolat NYC show manager Sharona Sandberg said the additional time allowed for them to fully achieve their vision and create a chocolate-filled event that everyone will remember.

“Celebrated for its diverse gastronomic landscape and culinary innovation, New York City provides the perfect backdrop for an event that celebrates the art of chocolate in all its forms,” she said.

Established in 1994 in Paris, Salon du Chocolat has been held 237 times since its creation, with some 15 events held each year on four different continents.
