Rapid Franchise Expansion For Husband And Wife

Husband and wife franchise owners Daniel and Anita Crouch opened their fourth Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses store in October.

The Corio, Victoria, business will operate alongside their stores in Geelong West, Bellpost Hill Shopping Centre and Waurn Ponds.

The couple has rapidly expanded their business since acquiring their first franchisee at Packington in Geelong West in 2007. After settling into the new business, the couple jumped at the opportunity to take on their second store in Waurn Ponds in 2009, followed by Bellpost Hill Shopping Centre in 2010.

Daniel and Anita said Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses offers them an opportunity to continue their business expansion in the greater Geelong area.

“Anita and I have spent many years in the area and this is where we want to raise our children. We feel pretty lucky to have found a business which perfectly suits our lifestyle and our love of food, and offers plenty of opportunity to expand and grow within the community,” Daniel said.

Raised in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, Daniel had his first taste of customer service while working with his father on the family business, a stock feed store. Despite being accepted to undertake a university degree in business management and marketing, Daniel decided to bypass further studies and jump straight into business.

Daniel and Anita embarked on their first business together when they took over La Bimba, a restaurant they owned and operated in Apollo Bay for two years.
