The Plarre family has confirmed its purchase of the Ferguson family interests in Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses, under the umbrella of the Plarre Foods Company.
The business will continue to operate under the Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses banner, with an emphasis on delivering quality products made using family recipes developed over the business’ 110-year history.
“We look forward to bedding down the new structure and making sure all of our key stakeholders are involved in this exciting new chapter,” said Ferguson Plarre CEO Steve Plarre.
“We have a strong growth strategy which includes the role out of more than 20 stores in 2012/13, and we will continue to engage with new and existing franchisees who enjoy the reputation, security and quality that the Ferguson Plarre brand brings to the retail cake and pastry market.”
Despite the doom and gloom of some retail sectors, Ferguson Plarre continues to go from strength to strength with nine per cent growth in the last month and an anticipated 18 per cent year on year.
