Patissier Apprentice Competition The First Of Its Kind In Australia

Cacao Barry and F.Mayer are excited to announce the Australian Patissier Apprentice Competition, in conjunction with Adriano Zumbo and the Sydney Pastry Club.

Open to all Australian apprentice chefs, the competition is the first of its kind in the country.

Those involved will be required to make a range of high-end pâtisserie products, which will include entremets, plated dessert, choux pastry and chocolate.

The competition will be held as a live event across an eight-hour period at the Cake Bake and Sweet Show – which is scheduled for March 21 to 22, 2014, at the Sydney Showgrounds Olympic Park, Homebush.

The winner of the competition will receive a place at an international guest chef class, at Savour Chocolate and Pâtisserie School in Melbourne. Valued at $3000, the package includes flights and accommodation.

For further information on the Australian Patissier Apprentice Competition, refer to the notice on the inside back cover of this issue of Australian Baking Business. Please note, spaces for this competition are limited.
