Le Yeahllow has opened the doors to its fourth store in Collins Arcade

Melbourne-based patisserie Le Yeahllow has officially opened the doors to its newest boutique in Collins Arcade.

The patisserie is the fourth location for the brand, with Le Yeahllow co-founder Samsky Yeung saying it’s the most considered space they’ve opened so far.

“It was designed as a cake-focused patisserie. The boutique centres on cakes and gifting with both retail and dine in offerings,” he said.

To mark the opening, which also coincides with Lunar New Year, two seasonal cakes were launched.

“For Lunar New Year we’ve created a Kumquat cake, inspired by the symbolism of gold, prosperity and fresh beginnings,” Samsky said.

“Bright and citrus-led, with flavours of kumquat, vanilla and hazelnut it’s designed to feel celebratory without being overly sweet or heavy. Alongside this we’re also releasing a Davidson Plum Gateau Basque built around Australia’s native fruit.

“The tart, berry-like notes of Davidson plum cut through the richness of the cake, creating a cake that feels familiar yet distinctly local and one that naturally suits the new Collins Arcade space.”

It’s been a big few years for the Le Yeahllow team.

The patisserie first made a splash in 2021 when it acquired Adriano Zumbo’s renowned South Yarra patisserie, cementing its place in Melbourne’s competitive dessert scene.

Since then. regular releases of signature desserts such as the Jeff Koons-inspired Balloon Puppy, and surrealist Le Mandarin, which resembles a freshly picked mandarin, have become synonymous with Le Yeahllow’s Is It Cake?-esque aesthetic. Their best-selling Mango Chiffon Cheesecake continues to showcase Le Yeahllow’s unique flair for combining visual artistry with bold injections of flavour.

“We believe in pushing creative limits while using the highest-quality ingredients,” Samsky said.

“That’s what keeps people coming back.”
