In 2025 the annual Fairy Bread Day fundraising initiative has raised a milestone amount of $38,793.40 for The Pyjama Foundation.

The initiative, spearheaded by Melbourne-based confectionery manufacturer Dollar Sweets, saw 10 cents from every sale of the company’s 100s & 1000s sprinkles donated to help support some of the nation’s most vulnerable children. The result was a total corporate contribution of $18,308.40 – representing a 14 per cent year-on-year increase.

Dollar Sweet managing director Miranda Higgins said Fairy Bread Day has allowed the company to spread more than just sprinkles.

“It gives us the privilege to directly contribute to facilitating stability and learning for Aussie foster kids,” she said.

The Pyjama Foundation chief executive officer and founder Bronwyn Sheehan OAM said they couldn’t be more grateful to Dollar Sweets for including the organisation in the initiative.

“This year’s results mean we can place 38 vulnerable children with their own life-changing Pyjama Angel mentor,” she said.

In addition to the increase corporate contribution, community support for Fairy Bread Day increased by 10 per cent in 2025, and reached $20,485. This record total was bolstered by 14 cafes that created fairy bread-inspired dishes and donated a portion of the proceeds directly to The Pyjama Foundation.

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity and creativity of everyone who got involved this year,” Ms Higgins said.

“Fairy Bread Day isn’t just about celebrating a beloved treat, it’s about coming together as a community to make a tangible difference in the lives of children who need it most.

“This year’s Fairy Bread Day shows the incredible power of that community. From cafes to content creators and everyone in between, Australians have joined us to sprinkle kindness and hope for children who need it most, and that’s something truly magical.”
