Each year apprentice bakers and pastry cooks from all over Australia compete for the prestigious national title Excellence in Baking.

The State Finalists will compete at the 2024 Baking Industry Trade Show in Melbourne, on June 18 and 19, for the coveted role. In 2024, two of New Zealand’s best apprentices will also be competing in the competition.

The official announcement of the National Winners will be made at the Excellence in Baking Awards Night – or better known as A Night with the Champions!!

The awards night will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at The Committee Room, Moonee Valley Racecourse.
