Popular SheOak Baker has been devastated by an electrical fire, with owner Gabi Flohr appealing to the Adelaide baking community for a temporary space to operate from.
According to Adelaide Now, emergency services were called to the Parkside bakery, located just south of the Adelaide CBD, in the early hours of August 7, after an electrical fire broke out in the building.
When the fire crews arrived the flames were reportedly through the roof, although were quickly extinguished before they spread to neighbouring businesses.
SheOak Baker shared the news on Instagram, saying they will be unable to operate from the bakery’s premises for the foreseeable future.
“We’ve had an electrical fire in the bakery and can no longer operate for the foreseeable future,” they wrote.
“Our hearts are broken and we’re so, so sad. If anyone has a temporary space suitable for bakery (3phase and grease trap) for us to bake temporarily or any ideas at all, please reach out.

According to Adelaide Now the MFS said 24 firefighters, five appliances and a command vehicle attended and contained the fire before it spread.
“On arrival, firefighters found smoke and flames showing from the roof of a commercial building, threatening the neighbouring premises,” they said.
“Quick action from firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.
“Fire investigators will attend the scene later today [August 5] to determine the cause and damage.”
SheOak Baker began in Gabi’s home kitchen as a solo operation working with wheat grown by Gabi’s family.
