Drive-through bakery chain caters to tradies and time-poor commuters

Brisbane-based pie and bakery chain Beefy’s has opened a drive through business in Brisbane (pictured).

The new North Lakes store is the seventh for the family-owned chain and joins a number of well-known restaurant and beverage outlets adopting the drive-through trend in
the city.

Owner and managing director Mark Hobbs said the business’s close proximity to the Bruce Highway would help capture customers in the rapidly expanding north Brisbane region.

“We saw an opportunity to cater to the needs of early morning commuters travelling from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane,” he said.

“Pies, by their very nature, offer this on-the-go convenience. We’ve noticed a lot of customers such as tradies frequenting our drive-through stores for a convenient handheld pie on-the-go, especially in the mornings.”

The store offers outdoor seating and is open seven days from 5am, with a 6am start on Sundays.
