Doughcraft adds second Brisbane location

French-Italian-inspired bakery Doughcraft is upping the ante in 2024, after announcing it will be opening a second bakery in Brisbane.

The new location will be an inner city bakery on Mary Street in the city’s CBD – described as within the golden triangle by The Weekend Edition – and will be part artisanal bakery, part deli. In the near future it will also be a destination for apertivo.

According to The Weekend Edition, an expanded kitchen will allow the Doughcraft team to considerably increase its range of products, with the new items to sit alongside sweet and savoury mainstays like raspberry-filled brioche buns, gorgonzola breadsticks, and Bombolone Salato doughnuts.

When launched, Doughcraft’s post-sunset offering will channel European-style aperitivo hour with a curated list of wines and handcrafted cocktails. A private dining area will also be available for gatherings and celebrations.

It’s a move the Doughcraft team described as a return to its roots, where the team’s culinary artistry will be put on display in greater detail.

The date for the second store’s opening is yet to be announced.
