Burgen Wholegrain & Oats bread by George Weston Foods has won the Best Bread category in the dietitians-endorsed Healthy Food Awards 2015.
Run by the Dietitians Association of Australia-endorsed Healthy Food Guide magazine, a panel of independent experts put supermarket and grocery packaged foods through rigorous health and nutrition tests, noting Burgen Wholegrain & Oats had the best textural and nutritional qualities including high-fibre with a low-glycaemic index.
“I like the dense, nutty texture. It would toast beautifully,” judge and accredited practicing dietitian Brooke Longfield said.
