Famed cupcakery Sprinkles Cupcakes plans to roll out cupcake “ATMs” this year to provide customers with a 24-hour sugar fix, according to the NY Daily News.

Ten “cupcake automats” will comprise the initial rollout, with the first being installed at the cupcakery’s original Beverly Hills location. Each automat will be stocked with a few hundred designer cakes a time for cupcake lovers craving an instant fix.

“They’ll be restocked constantly throughout the day, so if it’s Wednesday, you’ll only get our Wednesday flavours,” company spokeswoman Nicole Schwartz told the NY Daily News.

Each machine is said to be able to carry 600 cupcakes and each cupcake will come securely packaged in a box to ensure the cupcake stays intact.

It’s reported Sprinkles founder Candace Nelson came up with the idea when after-hour cravings struck during one of her pregnancies.
