Following its release in September 2012, Kirsten Tibballs’ self-published cookbook Chocolate to Savour has been named ‘Best Photography Cookbook of 2012’ by Gourmand.

In the last 15 years, the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards has annually recognised 50 of the best food and wine books, of the 26,000 published globally each year.

Chocolate to Savour will now compete against finalists from around the world in the same category. The awards ceremony will take place at the prestigious Carrousel du Louvre in Paris in late February.

As one of Australia’s most celebrated pastry chefs, Kirsten is thrilled with the news.

“It is warming to know Chocolate to Savour is being recognised and appreciated globally. It is a great achievement and acknowledgment of the years of work that accumulated in creating the final product,” Kristen said.

Chocolate to Savour celebrates Kirsten’s innovative and award winning creations and features a collection of more than 60 chocolate and patisserie recipes. Included in this comprehensive guide of all things sweet are delectable macarons, luscious tarts and hand-crafted individual chocolates.
