Brumby's Bakery have announced a limited edition Dubai Chocolate-inspired range

Dubai Chocolate is the breakout flavour of 2025, and the latest place it’s hitting is Brumby’s Bakery.

Brumby’s has announced a new range complete with three limited edition products inspired by the global trend. Pistachio Choc Cinnamon Buns, Twice Baked Dubai Choc Croissants, and Pistachio Choc Chip Shortbread can now be found on the shelves across the country.

The Pistachio Choc Cinnamon Bun is available in both miniature and regular sizes, and features a pistachio and chocolate drizzle alongside crushed pistachio pieces. The Twice Baked Dubai Choc Croissant is touted as being the hero of the range and combines flaky pastry, pistachio filling, chocolate, and a pistachio cream drizzle before being topped with crushed pistachios. Rounding out the range is the Pistachio Choc Chip Shortbread which is a play on the classic treat and has buttery shortbread that is flecked with chocolate chips and pistachios.

The range is available nationwide until Christmas.

Brumby’s Bakery is one of the latest businesses to incorporate Dubai Chocolate flavours into a product range. The combination of pistachio and knafeh sees milk chocolate combined with a pistachio-tahini cream and crunchy filo pastry first hit the culinary scene in 2022 after being created by Emirati chocolatier Sarah Hamouda from Fix Dessert Chocolatier. The product went viral thanks to social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Now, the chocolate and pistachio combination can be found in products ranging from ice cream to coconut water, spreads, and of course baked goods.

The global popularity of the product is so high, that it has also resulted in a pistachio shortage.

Earlier this year European pistachio prices moved upwards from €6.65 per pound in 2024 to €8.96 this year, with experts saying growers are “tapped out” according to Food Navigator Europe.

Iran is the second largest producer of pistachios, and exports to the UAE have risen by 40 per cent in the six months to March 2025, when compared to the total 2024 exports. In the US, which is the lead export country, pistachio supplies have fallen by 20 per cent in the 12 months to February 2025.
