Expected to be one of the largest gatherings of celebrity chefs, bakers and cake artists in the southern hemisphere, the Cake Bake and Sweets Show will host the likes of pastry extraordinaire Adriano Zumbo, US cake decorator Duff Goldman and British Pâtissier of the Year Eric Lanlard, among others.

New baking talent has been added to the event line-up for the inaugural Cake Bake & Sweets Show, taking place on March 21-23.

Flying from all points of the globe, US-based Pick Your Poison Girls – stars of Cupcake Wars on Foxtel’s LifeStyle FOOD Channel – will be serving up alcohol infused cupcakes. Great Australian Bake Off judge Dan Lepard will deliver a culinary crash course in achieving the great Australian meat pie and Canada’s Lori Hutchinson will whip out her envied cake decorating skills.

The three-day event also boasts an impressive host of local baking talent including Savour Chocolate & Pâtisserie School head chef Kirsten Tibbals, Baroque pastry chef Jean-Michel Raynaud, Wildfire head pastry chef John Ralley, Shangri-La Hotel Sydney executive pastry chef Anna Polyviou and le Petit Gateau owner Pierrick Boyer.

Show director Mark Harvey said professional bakers and pastry chefs will be able to expand their knowledge base at KitchenAid’s Delicious Kitchen area.

“Take a trip to the Delicious Kitchen to see celebrity bakers create heavenly desserts, sweet treats and tantalising baked goods. Visitors will also be able to watch live demos as internationally recognised artisan bakers and chefs share their tips on making all things sweet and savoury at the Bakery Theatre by Devondale,” he said.

“There will also be a wide range of free 30-minute classroom demos from expert bakers, pastry chefs and cake decorators in a more focused, intimate setting.”

In the Cake Decorating Theatre, guests will also be able witness top cake decorators and sugarcrafters demonstrate different methods and techniques for mastering the art of cake decorating.

“Of course, a highlight will also be the collection of cake and sugarcraft masterpieces at The Australian Cake Decorating Championships judged by the Cake Decorators Guild of NSW Inc,” Mark said.

Pastry chef and star of Ace of Cakes, Jeffrey Adam “Duff” Goldman said he’s excited to share his adventurous and creative approach to cake decorating with Australian baking professionals.

“It’s my first trip down under and I‘m looking forward to meeting tons of Australian bakers and cake fans,” he said.
